Bike Porn and Polo

Do you like custom bikes? Do you like bike polo? I'm driving to Indianapolis this Friday to go to the Hand Built Bike Show and play polo with kids from Indy, Chicago, and Lexington. Perhaps more. Perhaps someone will see the game and make the ultimate 26" cruiser/polo bike.

Depending on interest, I may go up to Chicago on Saturday for the final stage of the winter alleycat series up there, which is always a good time. If not, we'll just drive back from Indy Saturday night and be back in time for polo at Lindenwood. Hopefully there won't be any damn kids on the court this week.

A buddy of mine will be at that show. Keep a look out for Hufnagel Cycles. Jordan's handbuilt creations are top notch. He's also a BMXer. He could possibly be persuaded into fabricating polo bikes. If any of you STL guys have a mountain bike frame and fork with canti's below the chainstays, I'm very interested. Great playing with you all yesterday. Cheers!

You just have to keep an eye on craigslist for 'em. If you bounce around this site you'll find some mfg's names and models to help refine your searching.

Apparently, it was all the rage on the first generation of production mountain bikes circa 1984-89.

I read about Jordan in COG magazine!

It was for sure great to have y'all out. Next time in CoMO.

Put a can of root beer in the slingshot and you've got something there.

I'm leaving for Indy either this evening after working hours or really, really early tomorrow morning.

Right now I don't plan on going to Chicago Saturday night, I'll be driving home instead.

No one else wants to/can come?

Tim Tom: I dunno if yer keeping up with our blog, but here's the ebay search for mountain bikes with u-brakes that seems to be getting a lot of hits.
