t-shirt time.

This is what I did. If anyone has any input, let me know! Going to try to order tomorrow or Saturday from my friends' screen printing shop - $3.50/shirt. I am debating not even ordering the Lock-In shirt 'cause I think Big Tides will sell more. What ya'll think?

i'd go with the 'tides. It'll be the popular one anyways.

this PARTY is going to be great

I really like the mallets-as-prison-bars, though. Nice touch.

I hope the weather is nice enough that folk can ride up to Mt Pleasant and see this thing in real life.

Great job...

Big Tides for life!

I like both. I think the lock in will sell because that's what people are coming here for. Big tides is good, bit that's an inside joke and has to be explained.

Those are both really good...but of course Big Tides makes me crack up every time I look at it. The childlike STL bike polo script is perfect, also.

delmar lounge (my current employer)just agreed to supply gumbo, rice and buttermilk biscuits for 100 people FOR FREE! its good gumbo, too, made from scratch nawlins style. in return, the chef asks that we bring whoever is staying in town on sunday to delmar for dinner and the nothing-but-90s dj dance party. that sound like a deal to anyone?

i like the shirts a lot!.

i'm going to be in town this weekend and available to play on Saturday, but not on sunday.
weather permitting, is there any interest in playing on saturday?
tell me now so i know to bring my bike or not.

Julia...that sounds tempting enough for me to ask off work for...plus being up all night and playing polo whilst drinking, then driving home, sleeping 4 hours, then being at work all night would probably suck.

72 of the 80 spots are filled.

THIS LOCK-IN IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

The Big Tides shirt could be used as the STL "team" jersey, and sold at different polo tourneys/events, including the lock-in. It could help in the beer/gas money dept. Just a thought. I definitely want one!!!

That's true, Tim A. but I am funding the t-shirts myself so I'm not really interested in ordering more than we can sell at the Lock-In. That being said, I think I'm going to order 35 Big Tides t-shirts and 15 Lock-In shirts. (That's probably more than we can sell, so I'm full of shit). In all sizes, Patrick.

And the gumbo is not vegetarian, the chef said that's way too complicated to create. But since he is giving us a vat of rice, we should just make a huge pot of beans for vegetarians and then they can eat their beans and rice. Problem solved.

Jen was planning on making us a batch of vegetarian chili. I think it's actually vegan. So we've got that too.

Plus hot dogs and chili dogs and veggie dogs and chili veggie dogs.

Julia,

Just make sure I get one in medium. PPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE!!!

Sold the fuck out. 70 hours.

Let us out of towners know where you're playing on here. I didn't drive our bikes here for nothing! Plus I didn't get to play on Friday like normal, so I'm itching for some court time.

I *finally* got a hold of Robert at the Skatium, we are go for an open bar! We bring the beer, pay him a flat fee, he passes it out free to any registered player. We still have to respect his liquor license, which means: beer only, only he and his staff can dole it out, and we can't serve after 1am.

Now we just have to get some free kegs.

Going away without a computer for the holidays. If anything really important comes up re: the lock-in, just call. I'll be back next week.

Ben: please use your considerable talents to make a players pamphlet. Map of the city below Delmar, note the skatium, all the housing locations (Nick is collecting them), the Scottrade center, some public transit, the Delmar Lounge, Mt Pleasant, City Museum, and anything else you want to show off. We'll put some copy about the Lock-in format and rules stuff too.

Thanks, everybody!

i am interested in the prison bars lock-in t-shirt(small/med?) and probably the big tides just because i am kinda a freak about polo t-shirts. count me in on the vegan/veg food. plain and simple beans and rice rock my socks off, so yeah! stoked!

oh julia, i vote that you make some of the brownies you had at NOLA. those were niiiiice!!

sunday following the lock-in yall are having regular pick-up, right? we could do that then head to the Delmar Lounge, for the dance party. yes?no?
