To further our effort of growing our club, I propose we make the first Wednesday of every month Noobie Night. This could be a night where we encourage people to come out and experience bike polo. This includes less aggressive games, slower games, helping people get the hang of riding the bike and swinging a mallet.
What are everyone's thoughts? If we move forward with this, the first night will be August 3rd 2011.
I think we should draw up a flyer and hand out to bike shops, hang in bike shops, etc.
Thoughts?

i agree with this. sounds super fun. we can probly put up some flyers at A&M for starters.
100% agree. We should have BBQ and Mt. Dew...Make it a laid-back and inviting event.
I'm down.
Mt. Dew is required. 115% agree.
Way to take the bull by the horns Laser. Sounds perfect to me.
Toph you have art skillz right? Can you throw a quick flyer together? I can print it up, and don't mind going for a ride around town and dropping them off at local shops and spots.
I'm not an entertainer. I'm not an artist. I'm not a musician. I'M A PARTY.
As an aside, will you guys be playing this Sunday, July 24? I'll be in town if you are.
Please let me know.
-Christian, COMO
2p.m. mount pleasant.
Why don't you play later in the day? I don't know if you know this, but it's pretty hot outside. Maybe playing a little later would provide some relief from the heat.
Mount P near dark is a bad idea.
Why would we be in any danger after dark at Mt. Pleasant? Who on earth is going to mess with fit, active men and women expertly trained to swing large hammers?

Common sense has no common sense!
OK, I'm coming to STL one or another. But if there's no guarantee of polo, I won't come until after dark Sunday night so I can play with here in COMO.
So...is there FOR SURE going to be polo in STL tomorrow, July 24?!
Stl polo on Sunday = mt p @ 2 pm !
I have some good news. I have arranged for a short video segment to be filmed for the Mayor's video blog. The details are not set yet. (when we will film, how long the video will be...) This is up to us.
--I want to start by saying that I know that I am a newbie and I have already fallen in love with polo. I wouldn't feel this way if I hadn't been welcomed so warmly by everyone. The pointers and constructive criticism that you all give me each game means a lot. I love STL and the bike scene here and want to do whatever I can to farther its growth.
--We are a club. I will not set up anything without talking to everyone's input first.
--I think we could all benefit from an off court meeting to discuss what we want to see happen and where we want our polo club to go in the future. I am doing my best to help.
--Let me know what you all think. You can email me through SpokesSTL.com or at fixedmatt@gmail.com
--Let's take our polo club to the next level.
Matt
Awesome.
By the way we ARE taking it to a higher level. StL polo players are the best in the world. I look forward to meeting our future shredders.

PARTY TIP: Be a fan of being alive.
Anyone in STL interested in playing with a couple COMO dudes (me and Johnathon McDowell) in a tournament in Bloomington next weekend (July 29, 30, 31)? I know it's kind of last minute but we were trying to convince another COMO player to come but no one seems interested. COME OOOOOON it'll be fun!
Somebody should join that team and have fun in Bloomington this weekend.
PARTY TIP: Sometimes the hardest times call for the hardest partying.
Blakes having a party tonight (tuesday) at HandleBar! Everyone cmon up and have some fun!
-Jake-
I'm playing polo tonight. Are you?
It is Wednesday. Weekends only is closed. The polo court is open and the party is on.
-Trent
I will be an officially relocated St Louisiananan a week from this Saturday.
I expect some polo, more polo, Swedish goldfish, polo, cheap beer, cheaper morals and, preferably, polo.
In return, I will bring you old school Tampa polo, a strange affinity for argyle socks and a mentally-challenged sense of humor.
And Tampa beer.
And hugs.
Soon,
Scotty
PARTY TIP: Money is pretty much worthless unless it's spent on creating happiness, joy, and party.
Well said Mr. W K
That'd be super awesome.
I can't make it this month, 'cause I'm shooting Warped Tour on Wednesday, but come September I'd love to give bike polo a shot.
Eva: come ANY Wednesday or Sunday. We are always courteous and welcoming to new players. This Wednesday is just more of an event to encourage ANYONE to play.
-Jake-
Club prez where are you???? We miss you!!!
Club prez where are you???? We miss you!!!
Urine trouble wins Bloomington invitational.
I wish I could make it Wednesday but I'm going to be out of town. Feel free to bring flyers by the Hub if you would like. And I have a couple of extra ski poles and mallet material if newbies want to make there own.
I'll be there today between 3:30 and 4. My shitty bike is out of commission so I will need a loaner again.
I bought some balls. Snagged some ice packs from work for the coolers. Will be bringing my cooler which may have some brews in it.
I can bring my mini BBQ grill if someone want to stop and grab some dogs or something.
I'm out today, but I'll be around on Wed. I'd be glad to help with flyer distribution and whatnot if it happens.
Stl bike polo...... Urine Trouble!!!
