benjammin, are you reffering to the motobecane? that is a good buy, i think chovy may have talked me out of buying a 29r. looks like it country roads for me.
That motobecane is just OK. its got a quick releasse on the rear and that will MOVE when you stand up and crank for sure. Just a hassle, then you gotta put a solid axle in it to fix that problem. PLUS fork shocks, you dont need those in polo at all. Just makes it heavy. -Anchovy
yeah, dont really need shocks for bike polo. extra blocking surface? i cant make it to polo on sunday, but i am going to buy that crankset from you, i guess i can give you like twenty or something on wed. question to bikesdirect... why would you put a quickrelease on a singlespeed?
That was bought as a frame and built up with spare parts, explaining the fork.
Anchovy - you and Lee must have freakish leg strength. I ride two bikes with quick releases and track ends and never have problems. Especially not a problem with a polo gear.
Anyways - I am out for the next two weeks. When I get back to town I'll be ready for some polo. Hopefully I get in on a game in Toronto.
trent, now i feel even worse than i did when i made that comment about your ride at FBC. i just cant seem to stop talkin shit about peoples bikes lately. have fun in toronto, are you going to freindlies on the 25th? ya should.
I got LOTS of ski poles if anybody wants some. I think they are like $6-$7 a pair. You can team those up with Ben's heads and you are in business. Anchovy
The turnout could've been better. The flyers didn't work at all (maybe next time).
Here's who showed up:
-Me -Lee -Evan -Alex (He just moved to St. Louis. He played a handfull of games in CoMo.) -Julia (She just moved here from CoMo. She's new to polo, but played in CoMo.) -Liz (She was just visiting from CoMo) -Amy (from CoMo...showed up basically to provide us with a desperately needed bike) -Bryce (from FBC) -Cole also came, but after rolling 15 feet into the rink, his rear derailleur got pulled into his rear wheel, he couldn't fix it, and he eventually gave up and went home.
So we had enough people...but not enough bikes (I brought my extra bike for Evan, but, like a moron, forgot to bring the front wheel)
You can get it at Art mart, or ask any lil sign shop for scraps. Usually they have some and give you it for free. The plastic is actually called "Chloroplast" if you want to ask for it by name. (DO NOT USE foamcore. It may look the same or be cheaper, but it sucks). You can also just pick it up on the corner of streets (as signs) or gas station dumpsters often have it (Its what the signs they attach to pumps are made out of) Anchovy
yo nick, thats cool, thanks a lot. you usually drive to polo right? i would love that. is there any way you could bring it on suday? if not i can come and get it whenever. yo, anchovy. you still got them LOOK skipoles?feel like taking some more of my money?

I have some coroplast that is already cut into circles. You can have it if you like. I don't need it right now, and I can get more from work.
I can leave it in my back yard if you like. Let me know,
