Planning.

Imma measure the street next to the Atomic Cowboy this afternoon so we can make plans for boards to do demos during the bike-in movie dates this summer/fall. If you're free and can hold the dumb end of a tape, send me a text and we'll get together.

While we're on the subject of planning: If y'all want to do another lock-in this winter at the Skatium, you should get over there pretty soon to reserve a weekend. I did it 5 months in advance last year, and he still had to cancel out an already booked roller hockey league game Saturday night.

Polo this weekend: Sunday, 2pm, Lindenwood.

anybody want to come to como for a bench match the 14th? we've got a sweet rink and a party planned for that evening. if there's interest we can work out the rules/format. if not we win by forfeit...

A good friend of the club is having an art show that night. I am certain that a good portion of us will be attending that show.

Would the 21st work for you guys?

Did we scrap the idea of having the bench minor on the 28th? A friend of mine asked me to cover his shift that night, so if we are still planning on doing it that day I need to have him find someone else.

i be at work that weekend. are you guys coming down for september?

Toph A. Loaf said...

can we form a commitee, or at least talk about forming a commitee for organizing this lock in on sunday?

What art show Ben?

Ps. Anybody need coroplast? There is a yellow 5x8 sheet of it near my house.

I'm up for any weekend we decide upon.

Anchovy said...

Oh is it Bri zone's? I definitely think a bench minor trumps brizone's art show. That's probably no contest. 3/4 the people who play definately don't care about that.

1. I would rather polo then go to an art show. Either the 14th or 21st is fine with me.

2. A MO bench minor tourney needs rules, and assuming that there are penalties, refs. The honor system will not do if 2 minutes in the box is at stake.

3. I measured out the street for the Cowboy, and the Francis Park "rink" for the Gateway Cup demo. Next step is to email the New Belgium Rep and see if we can get boards paid for.
The cowboy would like some sort of handbill/poster to advertise the polo demos at the bike-in movie nights. Is there a graphic designer in the house with some free time? Email me for deets.

4. I do not need coroplast.

5. Lock-in 2011 sounds great. Someone needs to be in charge of the effort. Find a place to do it, co-ordinate everyone else helping to get food and stuff, etc, etc. Seems like Ben is the most excited about it. I nominate him.

are you talking about those giant yellow ones around South City. their seriously huge. i mean like 6'-8'. i was seriously tempted yesterday....
im out for como.
you guys wanna hear sometin funny. my girlfriend just bought a blue and silver PK RIPPER. i told her "you should just get a KILO TT! like me!" she insisted on getting that one. i guess i should have tried suggesting it in a little kid voice.

Someone block Toph from posting. He's retarded and his posts are pointless and boring.

Toph A. Loaf said...

hey anchovy, can you please bring the following tools toady? hook spanner(lockring tool) and chain whip? i also need a freewheel remover if you got one.
- jake please dont suggest things like that. knowing trent he proabably would find a way to do it. just cause he thinks it would be funny.

Lucky said...

I'm bringing Toph's Camera and a ski pole for letting me borrow it, plus a brake lever for Jake.

I would like my apt key back from Kacey, and my wallet if anyone happened to find it at John P's party Friday night (check the couch on the patio).

It would be great if we could all sit down for a minute and rap about the demos, the Missouri Bench Minor, and the lock-in, too. Doesn't have to be as formal as committee assignments and robert's rules, we just need to get on the same page about our goals and what we're capable/interested in contributing.

The breakfast of champions = Donuts and Mountain.

Toph A. Loaf said...

Kayce said...

Im going to be out next weekend and the one after that for the track championships. But Id like to be in on bench match, and the demos.

Ben said...

Yes a mountain. I didn't stutter.

Toph A. Loaf said...

Kayce-what races are you doing? indi pursit? TT? pursuit? do they still do madisons at Penrose?
ill bring my flashy expensive helmet if you wanna try it on. its super light and aero. fancy.

Rose said...

I'm playing today, but I'll be there closer to 3 because of work. No requests on this end.

Kayce said...

I have my self a nice roadie helmet but thank you.

The 14 is the onmium(flying 200, scratch, 3000m tt, points race, and 1000m tt)

The 21st is the individual races: 3km persuit, match sprint, points, and 1k points.

And on Aug 26 there is the team persuit.

I found my wallet while cleaning my apt. Thanks to anyone who looked around for it elsewhere.

Trent: If yer coming today, please grab my raincoat and lever parts.

If he didn't go up to northbrook for track racing this weekend, the guy from A and M might swing by this afternoon. You guys can really geek out on track racing then.

Chris, Tim A, and all of CoMO: Yes, we are down for a line-changing, hockey-style, long-format game this Saturday, August 14th. With a kegger to follow.

We got about 6-7 people confirmed at polo yesterday. We'll work on the rest of the club and sort out our rides this week.

I'm out this weekend. I forgot I had other plans. Sorry Dudes.

Would the 14 be in COMO or STL? And would either team like to draft a free agent?? Both Travis and I really wanna play in this, but understand if there's already plenty of locals...

Mr. Manager Ben said...

You two are on our team (filling a 10-man roster may be tough for us).

The battle is going down in CoMo this Saturday.

Sadly, if CoMo wins, they aren't invited to the Lock-In.

im holding out on this tournament until Ben and Chris both pay me me $10000. each.

sweet. what rule set are we using? we'll track down some refs

Normal polo rules. The only difference is making changes on the fly and two 30-minute halves.
