If you want to play in the 4 v. 4 tournament, registration is at noon on Sunday.

Due to the fact that I may need to be bailed out of jail again someday, or something along those lines, I might not make it out to polo today. It is mothers day and I gotta show some love. I hope to make it late afternoon if you guys are still playing late.

If you want to play in CoMo's 4v4 tournament, you have to register at Noon today!

You have to email Aaron Hand with a list of your teammates.

A Real Genius said...

Out of all the party mistakes I’ve listed here, the biggest one by far is telling other people how they should party. Even the most intelligent, freedom-loving, open-minded person will sometimes get it into their head that they know best, and that everyone should do the same stuff they do — that’s a huge and terrible mistake. Everyone is different, and everyone has different ideas of what “fun” is. True partying is allowing everyone to have their own idea of fun, and to let each person celebrate the way that makes them happy. As long as one person’s idea of fun doesn’t interfere with another person’s, then all their various tastes are valid. We all want to experience joy — joy is our common ground — how we get to that state of joy will vary from person to person, place to place, day to day. We’re all individuals bound together by a shared purpose — to enjoy our lives before we die. Everything else is just a bunch of bullshit. PARTY HARD!

Anonymous said...

Yeah I posted it, and if you are offended then maybe you misinterpreted my aim of the post.

And I'm new to playing here, and I may have missed polo a couple times due to not feeling well, but I still show up. Calling someone a liar is a tad childish?

- Love, Kevin

Kevin,

I wouldn't read too much into internet hooligans. If you ever read fuckingbikeclub.blogspot.com it would be clear that internet is ruled by a ban of Reptilian Overlords. They can be cruel, but all knowing.

STL Bike polo is glad you are here and you will be trained this summer so that you can take STL's version of bike polo back to school with you.

Love,

Reptilian Slayers.

Dear Kevin,

Please continue to play with us/find people in Belleville to play with. Most of us don't show up every week either. No worries!

ps. Come to prom on Monday night with the aforementioned bike club, it's going to be a blast. Meet at Turtle Park, leave at 7pm.

Anonymous said...

Kevin,

I hope no one was offended by your post, the more people that play bike polo in the st. louis area the better.

Anonymous said...

Kevin,

Keep coming out to play and you'll see that anyone calling you a liar on this blog is just giving a good old fashioned hard time. Ask Patrick about it...

Rose,

An invite to be a blog author has been sent to your sbcglobal account. You need to accept that and then I can promote you to admin. Let me know if you want the invite sent to a different email account.

Ben, you have been promoted to having admin privileges. You had them previously but took them away from yourself after the Winter of 2010 blog scandal.

If anyone else wants to be able to post to the blog let me know and I will email you an invite.

-Trent

Rose said...

Thanks, Trent! You can promote or not, I didn't know there was a difference between that and posting access when I requested admin rights.

On Friday night, we'll be meeting at Handlebar (4127 Manchester Avenue). Enjoy cheap drinks while we wait for a good group of friends arrive. We'll party there and probably go explore the city on bikes at some point.

Saturday morning, drag yourself to Mt. Pleasant Park and register your team. We'll try to get the first games going as close to 10AM as possible.

Saturday night, we'll get dinner and bike to Ted Drewes for frozen custard. From there, more city exploring will be in order. There's a party somewhere, and we will find it.

Sunday with be a full day of pickup. If you still have any strength in your body, meet us at Mt. Pleasant again on Sunday for fun in the sun...pickup style.

Got it? Good.

Ben said...

Ha. I forgot about that. Thanks, Trent!

Do we even have six people that can play today?

I don't think so. Speak up if you think otherwise.

ANDREW TO GIVE "PINKIE PIE" LECTURE AT MY LITTLE PONY CONVENTION 2012!

Andrew has just announced that he will be doing a special lecture about Pinkie Pie and partying at the 2012 My Little Pony convention!

Rock 'n' roll party man, Andrew W.K., has announced that this fall, he will bring his special brand of fun to Canterlot Gardens in Ohio, the premiere My Little Pony fan convention! Celebrating the national resurgence of My Little Pony popularity since the release of Hasbro’s “Friendship Is Magic” cartoon, W.K. will attempt to answer the question “What Would Pinkie Pie Do?” In this panel, W.K. who's beloved for such anthemic songs as “Party Hard” and "We Want Fun", considers himself to be the living embodiment of the positive, party pony, Pinkie Pie, and will talk about how to make your work as fun as your party and your party as important as your work.

You don't need to do anything to your mallets, Lee.

The yellow material allows scoops pretty easily. If you're at polo on Wednesday, I'll show you how simple scooping can be.

I forgot to share this new gem that adds to the legend of Mt. Pleasant Park:

Last Sunday, I stopped at the MotoMart at Jefferson and Broadway to get some beverages and use the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, they have one of those biohazard disposal boxes next to the trash can! You know, so if you decide to use their bathroom to shoot-up, you can properly dispose of your used needles.

For the Heat Stroke Tournament, we should hand out bingo cards filled with awesome Mt. Pleasant sightings.
