Bike Polo Exhibition Match

Not to look past playing on Thursday evening, but Sunday is the FBC 's Superfunhappyhour Alley Cat, with both the start and stop at Tiles park.

What do you all say about an exhibition match around 2:00 PM at the Tiles Park Bike Polo Court?

Thought it might be a good way to recruit some new folks who wouldn't normally make it out to a match?

Sounds great. I'll be there. If anyone doing any thrifting this week comes across ski poles, I've got two more heads that I can shaft.

I'll play some polo that day - but I think quite a few of the regular players will want to race. Those of us who do race probably won't do it on our polo bikes. But I will be willing to play some pick-up after the race is over.

I know that the race starts/ends at the park. But will people be staying there, or is there an afterparty site?

Also, lets hear some opinions on the Skatium issue. I need to know what to plan.

i say we just show up, race/hangout, see if some polo happens, i think people will be hanging around

i say we stick to the original plan for the tournament - saturday at lindenwood/mt pleasant

skatium rental is kinda expensive and we don't have any CONFIRMED teams

I think a tournament at skatium deserves more planning and a better weekend

I agree with Trent.

Maybe a winter tourney for the skatium.

I would imagine people will hang out. We will have free beer. And those who are there who aren't gonna race can help out with the finish, checking people in etc..

If you want.
