STL Bike Polo: Inflict pain. Instill fear.
If anyone knows a warm, lit parking garage that can host a little polo training session tomorrow night, please share. Obviously, none of our rinks will be snow free tomorrow.
Food for thought:
Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while; you don’t do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing...
...Every time a polo player goes to play his trade, he’s got to play from the ground up – from the tires of his bike right up to his head. Every inch of him has to play. Some guys play with their heads. That’s O.K. You’ve got to be smart to be number one in any business. But more importantly, you’ve got to play with your heart, with every fiber of your body. If you’re lucky enough to find a guy with a lot of head and a lot of heart, he’s never going to come off the rink in second.
Running a polo club is no different than running any other kind of organization – an army, a political party or a business. The principles are the same. The object is to win – to beat the other guy. Maybe that sounds hard or cruel. I don’t think it is.
It is a reality of life that men are competitive and the most competitive games draw the most competitive men. That’s why they are there – to compete. To know the rules and objectives when they get in the game. The object is to win fairly, squarely, by the rules – but to win.
And in truth, I’ve never known a man worth his salt who in the long run, deep down in his heart, didn’t appreciate the grind, the discipline. There is something in good men that really yearns for discipline and the harsh reality of head to head combat.
I don’t say these things because I believe in the ‘brute’ nature of man or that men must be brutalized to be combative. I believe in God, and I believe in human decency. But I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour – his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear – is that moment when he has to work his heart out in a good cause and he’s exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.

PARTYING is not a sometime thing; it’s an all the time thing. You don’t PARTY once in a while; you PARTY all the time. PARTYING is THE WAY.
I am your enemy and I am scared.
"The Pole" has made me rethink this post. Lee will bend poles bigger than that when we win the North American Championships.
UNLEASH YOUR EXCITMENT!
Listen to our song Raining Blood.
Now fucking beat that.
!!!BIKE POLO FAGS!!!!
Be nice to bike polo.

-thursday it should be around the thirties. anyone down for a new temporary trainding schedule? turdsday 6? five-turdy?
Bike Polo is a thrash metal party on bikes. So THRASH HARD! PARTY HARD! Make me proud, St. Louis!
From now on, when you fall off your bike, hurt the Earth. Don't let it hurt you.
Learn to beat your enemy everywhere on the rink. Then you can beat your enemies anywhere in the world.
will there be polo tonight
Only if you know a parking garage we can use. Or you spend the day clearing Maplewood's surface..
PARTY TIP: Don't be a fucking wimp.
Develop the winning edge; small differences in your performance can lead to large differences in your results.
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired you quit when the gorilla is tired.
By the authority of our great leader:
I shall 5-0 all my opponents with no angle, blazing bottom bracket, and above top tube goals.
I shall find goalie’s weak spots. When they are not present, I will create them.
I shall let the ball leave my control only upon my doing.
I shall make 48 spoke wheels shall fear me!
I shall make wheel covers be holier than thou.
I shall make cross court scoop passes be the norm.
I shall make my teammates better.
I will laugh at my competitor, and their feeble attempt to play this game.
I AM STL BIKE POLO!!!
^ Perfect.
A chance for ST LOUIS BIKE POLO to truly unleash the inner bulldog?

I saw a video from NYC of something similar. It looked fun but not as chaotic as one would expect...Though, you were encouraged to sabotage other teams.
Unfortunately, that's the day of COMO's friendly tournament.
Jake is walking... Limping, but walking.
That's a shame that it's the same day because that would be amazing. And of course we would win...
Friday night skatepark training didn't kill Jake. It made him stronger. Everyone is gonna have their face smashed in when he returns to polo. I can't wait.
I can wait to have my face smashed in.
Also, Lexington has announced a friendly tournament for April 3-4.
I apologize for wrecking your fun and training
you aren't serious about bike polo if ice and snow stops your training
Did anyone find some clip-on sunglasses? in a small black case? i put them in the bucket that was a goal post on Sunday and I may have left them there.

Your = a possessive word
You're = a contraction that is a substitute for YOU ARE
YOU'RE going to bash faces in.
I'm going to bash YOUR face in.
Lexington tourney? Awesome.
That milk crate was Anchovy's. Text him about your glasses.
If we're not poloing tonight, I guess that means hill climbs are calling my name.
Lucky,
What's happening with that Little Rock friendly tournament? Isn't that rumored to be the weekend after the Lexington tournament?
The dates aren't 100% settled for the Little Rock friendlies. Consensus right now is for the second weekend in April, but a coupla things have yet to be finalized with the parks dep't and within the club down there.
The Lexington thing is a proper tournament and the date is set as far as I know. I'll try to make both. It will depend on work and stuff.
patrick's comment was perfect.
