Arrive as early as possible to help keep the hockey and soccer doods out of party. I will be getting there shortly after work to secure the rink and pavilion. About 4/4:30.

Ben said...

I think I have 5 bottles. They're in reserve for you.

King said...

Ben. Let me know when your heading up there. I'll meet ya

Ben said...

I'll shoot you a text once I get out of work and load lights/generator/toys into my car.

Anchovy said...

I found 2 more hulk hands. Up to 3 for the party.
Ps. Today I got a specialzed Cro mo mtn bike. Probably a medium size. $30 if anybody wants it. Good wheels/tires. Doesn't need much to become a good polo bike, just remove stuff.
Um what else...a bunch of e.t. pins but I doubt anybody wants those.

Ben said...

I have two hulk hands that have been in my possession since the Lock-In. They will be at the party.

King said...

My hands are hulk hands

Anonymous said...

Anchovy can you bring that mtn bike, I might be interested in it.

Thanks,

Nick

Anchovy said...

I don't really want to bring it...I'm gonna have my Truck full with a cooler, grill and my bike and gear as it is. I'm home all day at 6956 Jamieson if you want to look at it. Or, I don't mind bringing it some other time.

anchovy said...

posted it on Clist if you want to take a gander at it.

Hey guys, I'll be in town this weekend for Mom's Day and need to find stores that sell Franklin "Reds". Are they easily availble in STL? Thanks!

Ben said...

Sports Authority.

Speaking of Franklin Reds. If anyone has a rock-hard Franklin Red, bring it tonight. The Franklin Red I have is soft and mushy.

Tim A said...

Thanks, Ben! While I'm on here, I wanted to bring up a topic I've been thinking about for some time. NAs are coming up and I'm interested in forming an intramural team consisting of different cities, the most obvious choice being CoMO and STL. Is there any talent interested in making this dream a reality?

King said...

Tonight was amazing. Thank you lucky. Thank you stl polo. Wow

Unknown said...

I totally agree. This is the best polo crew I have ever played with. I am proud to fly our flag at tournaments and more proud to share a court with you all twice a week for shits and grins.

Thanks to each an every one of you. You are my brothers and sisters. Bless this little city of ours. Goodnight.

Ben said...

That was the best Birthday Party with Polo I have ever attended.

I got $5 on Ben getting hurt from cross training. Any other takers?
PS. Sold that Specialized. Sorry Francis, i forgot i made a previous appointment for a dude to come look at it.
Hey Tim A. I might be interested in a team up.

Anchovy said...

and if you guys ever goto Schnucks wall ride to cross train, let me know. I miss that place.

Anonymous said...

tonight i'm meeting some friends for margaritas very close to Maplewood, i could be at the court around 8PM if polo is happening. -Patrick

toph said...

im in. i think a few of the cross trainers are playing tonight. i assume Ben is. Patrick. Me. Nick. Jake. Anchovy? how about L-Wood. Maplewood, hockey players maybe. i can reserve the court around 5:30 if anyone wants to join. Post Here. If you wanna play. Or just send out the text for lindenwood.

anchovy said...

I am out. I have to cinco de mayo train later tonight.
PS toph,im home all day if you wanna swing by and get your bag.

Anchovy said...

Tim-I got a bike called "fall guy" by tonic fabrication. Its kind of a strange 24" bike. I havent rode a bmx in years. Last summer i was hitting Schnucks on my Santa Cruz Bullit. I used to be into that urban freeride stuff.
I grew up in north county and used to ride st.charles rock road every day (bmx). Ahh..gather round the campfire kids, ole Anchovy gonna tell you a story. The year was 1989...

colin said...

i am in for tonight were are we playing

Anonymous said...

that was awesome polo at maplewood! was the court more slick than usual? or maybe its just that 2 on 2 is a faster style of game, more breakaways to chase down?
-Patrick

zach-bloomington said...

You guys with your hulk hands and hockey rinks.... yeah, i'm jealous.

STL BIKE POLO said...

Tim/Anchovy -

I'd be into teaming up if you guys think we'd make an acceptable team

-Trent

Unknown said...

What about me? I wanna go to MPLS.

Evannn said...

Lucky I plan on going to midwests and would be honored to be part of your team. Or anyones team for that matter. Or I'll just go and fill in someplace like last time.

nick said...

Do you all plan on taking off both Friday and Monday surrounding Midwests?

Tim A. said...

Trent, you're in and I just want to be clear that I'm talking about NAs in Madison. I won't be attending Midwests due to a BMX trip the following weekend.

STL BIKE POLO said...

I think I'm skipping the Midwest too. Too much travel around that time.

-Trent

lucky said...

I plan on taking the Friday and Monday around the midwests off. Also, I will need a ride as an important component of my car is missing and it doesn't run anymore.

Is there friday night polo tonight?

Toph will play.
Jake, your back wheel is in Colins truck. i threw a brand new gatorskin on there. its an extra ten bucks. if you want to buy the whole deal for $35 that works. If you dont want the awesome tire, i know Anchovy does.
Big deal of the month-i also have an ACS 20 tooth gog(freewheel) i can put on there. Im cleaning out my basement so i am of course willing to sell all this stuff seperate. Jake. If you are interested i will sell you all three of these things. Wheel, Freewheel, Gatorskin,(i also have a 16tooth fixed cog if you are so inclined) for $45. To whomever may want it, i also have a Mercier Kilo TT front wheel. A little bent, 700cc also has a lightly shredded skin on it. already has blue and red wheel covers. Thats for sale. $20. I have a clean hutchitson fusion comp i will give to whomever buys that wheel.

Ben said...

I'd play...but can we go to Maplewood? I gotta do a little freelance work after "real" work. So I probably couldn't play til 7. But I'd bring lights, and we could play as late as we wanted...and go have fun afterwards.

Just a thought.

Regardless, Friday's finally here! I wasn't sure it'd ever come.

PARTY!

toph said...

seven sounds good. POLO PARTY!!!!

Ben said...

People can start earlier than 7...I may or may not be a little late.

I think 6 is the best time to claim Maplewood. But do whatever.

anchovy said...

I picked up a paramount Mtn Bike. Its about a medium and its cromo, rigid fork. $60 if anybody wants it(may seem like alot but its an easy $100 for me on clist).
ALSO
I have a nice 27" road rear wheel with tire if anybody needs that for an older road bike single speed. The cassette is off and its ready for a freewheel to be installed ($15)

nick said...

Toph, I am interested in your 20 tooth free wheel. If it is unclaimed. I need it for my bike. I couldn't tell what the price was from your gigantic run-on sentence. Email me.

this is the last time im telling this story. My friend, remember Brakeless Chopper bike dude? I know Lucky remembers. Well he got his bike stolen and i let him use the bike, it is no longer in my hands. I have regretted it to this day, but thats life.

KONA R.I.P. said...

Give him one of your fixed gears. You have eight Kilo TTs.

toph said...

oh dude. that green one got smashed on mcausland when someone ran that red light by Olympia. the cranks got bent and its a two peice sealed cartridge crankset not worth replacing. the wheels and the fork are fucked also. How do you think i ended up with all these random bike parts?

TOPH said...

i can only guess Kona RIP is Ben. considering the j-peg link. kinda funny just click on Kona RIP. could also be trent...

i'd be up for friday polo party, I was going to go camping and stuff but apparently the conservation area we were going to is partially closed until the end of spring turkey season. Toph, i will of course bring that extra bike. -Patrick

2712 Cherokee. I got some art in a show there tonight. They are mask painted by peat wollenger and he ask other artist to be in it. It will be tomorrow as well if you go down there for cinco de mayo. Usually pretty good stuff. National artist.

toph said...

hey anchovy. do you know shannon hoelzner. she bought a drawing from you at Villians and Heroes.

PETE WOLLENGER. HOLY SHIT! that guy helped me do a website once. Unless im thinking of someone else. Did he go to kirkwood?

Anchovy said...

UH Toph, im not sure. Usually the art gets sold and i have no idea about the person who bought it. The gallery handles the transaction.
I think peat went to Webster. Not sure. He is a pretty big art dude (prolific big). Very active and always working on a show or project. Mtn Dew did some bottles with his art and he has had mask shows in SF and Australia. Google him and check out his stuff. Its pretty cool.

So no kona???

Francis said...

Hey Anchovy, I may be interested in your paramount. I can't make it to polo tonight, and maybe not even Sunday, so can you send me some photos? My email is f hunt 2019 at yahoo dot com.

Ben said...

Toph wrote that.

No Friday night polo.

Yard Sale said...

no polo, so sad. see you sunday. Jake. that is wheel is nonmachined. Obviously you can still run a brake it just wont be as smooth. Anchovy has expressed interest in this item as well.(he is running a front brake) if you plan on running a brake on it you may want a different machined wheel i have. needs to be straightened. $15. i also have a white Soma Ta-Bo saddle if anyone is interested. $10.

Anonymous said...

i'll buy that saddle from you! bring it on Sunday. i'll put it on my extra bike. thanks.
-Patrick

colin said...

Also, we need to register for the Midwests before all 48 spots fill up. Should we just list two teams and figure out who's on 'em later? I think I'm hearing serious interest from about 5-6 heads. Let me know if I'm wrong about that.

King said...

I'm in for midwests.
Toph I realy want that wheel

I've been surfing on-line more than 3 hours lately, yet I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It's pretty price enough for me.
