I made some changes...

Playing hardcourt bike polo the way it's intended to be played earns your club some odd labels.

This is what everyone expects...Let's make sure we deliver.

Oh jeez.

I really wish you would keep all this kind of "goon" propaganda on one of the other polo blogs you got going (isnt that what they are for?). Keep this and all the andrew WK stuff there. Keep actual STL polo news and when we are gonna play here. I think we have said that once before, thus you created those blogs. Use those other ones for your rants and creative outlets. Send emails to your friends about your new post. Dont post them here.

It's a joke. Lighten up.

It's not a joke that everyone appreciates. And he's right, this kind of stuff caused a pretty serious rift in our very small club not too long ago. You made some separate spaces on the 'net for it, please use them.

As for the worth of a goon strategy or even just propagandizing a goon strategy to would-be opponents: My opinion is that it's a loosing one. Knocking people off their bikes does not put the ball in the net and will therefore not win you any games on it's own.

No one in our club is a goon. No one in our club plays like a goon. Any claim from any of our players that we're/they're going to "goon it up" is obviously a joke. Never have I seen one of our club members racing around the rink looking for someone to run over while forgetting the point of the game is to score goals and keep your opponent from scoring goals. I think that fact makes the "goon" label we've received (not necessarily earned) hilarious.

But whatever.

I'll keep my stupid jokes to myself, and STLBikePolo.blogspot.com can be our miniture version of LOBP where everyone is always serious all the time.

In an effort to pay my medical bills and keep my broken ass off the court till I'm healed, I have started working at Mollys on wednesdays.
I invite all of you to come visit me and tell me of what I'm missing out there.

Lucky and Anchovi- Bens making fun of shit. Get over it. This blog is fun and it's really not hard to figure out when were playing. The "riff" was caused in the winter time because no one was trying to play. And it was super difficult to find out when we were playing.
We do play phisical yet we are FAR from goons. If your seriously offended by anything Ben has posted your an idiot. And I say that with love. This site is visited by other clubs. Were just making fun of what the other clubs think. Ben can be a little harsh with his ranting but still, who the fuck cares? Laugh, it's just polo. Be glad you can play and didn't fuck yourself trying to jump a fence.

Ben, when you post anything, its taken as face value. Sarcasm or jokes or your inside jokes, that stuff doesnt come through very well on the internet. Nobody knows your joking except you.
People read that and go "oh st.louis must be proud of themselves to be a bunch of goon asshole dicks"

King said...

Patrick. Use google for gods sake.

King said...

Anchovi. Please. Really? Shut up, have fun, pull the stick out of your ass and make a mallet out of it.

Anchovy said...

You got it Jake! thanks for the insight!

Hockey talk is not polo related and not something everyone appreciates. Please take it somewhere else. The comments section is reserved for serious polo talk and organizing pickup.

Thank you.
