"Saturday, March 12, 2011 - Sunday, March 13, 2011
Host club: Lexington Bike Polo
Come on down or up to Lexington in March for some pickup and 2v2 action. We will split our courts down the middle to run four courts of insane 2v2 action.

UPDATE: Just so everyone knows, the main 2v2 event will be a hat tournament. Teams will be selected randomly and any obviously overpowered teams will be split up, a bit of polo socialism to ensure lively, balanced play. Depending on the time and number of people, there may be time to run a normal 2v2 tournament as well. Winners will be lavished with air brush spring break T-shirts.

Schedule is tentative but will probably be pickup on Saturday, tournament on Sunday. Come early if you want.
As a bonus, this event will coincide with St. Patrick's day and a likely tweed ride in town, so there will be lots of after polo shenanigans."

Does anyone know of a local place that can do Ti frame repair?

I have a broken Rt chainstay on a pivotless litespeed.. It's out of warranty (fatigue/wear and tear)

I want to have it stop drilled, welded and possibly add a small strap.

If not it just may become my new polo bike until it breaks.

Don't you repair fighter jets for a living? You're telling me that there's no one on base who can weld Ti?

I don't know of anyone in town who does bikes specifically, but there's gotta be some aerospace worker around who's set up to at least try.

Funny..
We do have certified welders, but they don't:
1. Weld aircraft parts at field level
2. Weld Ti.
They build lots of support equip, handling fixtures, jigs ect.
I thought I saw a place in StL that did Ti, but now I can't find it.

That Lexington event could be fun if you're not looking for a super-serious polo event.

Lexington comes to our shindigs; I think we should continue going to theirs.

Plus, the Tweed Ride would be a blast, I'm sure.

Is anyone planning on going to COMO the next weekend? I probably can't do both, and I would rather go to COMO personally.

maybe for como (if a few people go–gas is expensive)

Thank you StL Bike Polo.

Some kid just leapt off the sidewalk at me shouting "Gimme that bike!". He made full on shoulder to shoulder contact. I just rode through it and came home.

Don't they know? I can cuddle.

Dear Tom Hanks, I'll be home around 4-430. It's just in my back yard. Tatyana has my number. Get it or just steel the bike from my yard. Its the one that's leaning on the table. One condition in this deal... You are not allowed to cut the handlebars at all.
