Different Month. Same Story.

We have been invited to join Springfield Bike Polo and Scary Larry Bike Polo in Columbia, Missouri for a friendly gathering. The date for this event is July 9th, and coaster fights and fireworks are encouraged. Mark your calendar and make the short drive to CoMo on July 9th.

Partying isn't something you do, it's something you ARE.

Sounds fun!

In other news... Can someone please go up to maplewood today or tomorrow and push around the standing water. If we spread it out it will evaporate by 6pm Wednesday.
Thanks,
-Jake-

i just came back from the lake that is maplewood. our pushbrooms will do nothing, even if the entire club came and started pushing water around. the court is literally a lake. not a dry spot. 2-4 inches of standing water on the entire court.

i suggest we play at lindenwood tommorow, 5:30. i will get there early to "reserve" the rink if any hockey shitheads that want to try and play there. we can also play at tilles.

Toph A. Loaf said...

by the way. i was there pushing water for about 25 minutes and it did absolutely nothing. maplewood is out of the question.
-i didnt want to give the impression in my previous comment that i just drove by and didnt even bother.

Brick Tamland said...

Toph,

I am a professional and do not belive your claims of 4" of water on the court.

-Brick

Information said...

Someone go drill holes in the boards at the parking lot end of the rink. The court would dry faster if that water had a faster way of draining past the boards.

Seriously.

Toph A. Loaf said...

hey brick,
go see for yourself. obvioulsy you havent been at the court lately.
2 inches around most of the court. 4 inches in the corner where the puddle was. learn to read.

Information said...

PS. I wasn't scheduled to work on the 9th, so I am going to CoMo. Party!

Toph A. Loaf said...

the parking lot is full of people going to the swimming pool. i dont think they would appreciate some random guy showing up and drilling holes in the hockey rink boards. but i guess ill go try that too. i dont have very big drill bits though.

alright. i just talked to the sup. at city hall, he's gonna go open the boards. i will push the water out but if anyone else has brooms and is not doing anything. i could use some help.
-drilling holes in the boards is a bad idea. i needed to see if i can solve the problem without damaging our courts or pissing any city officials off and possibly losing the best court we have.

Y'all boys is crazy.

Toph A. Loaf said...

i pushed a lot of the water out. it took 2 hours. hopefully it will evaporate by tomorrow. i will go by and check maplewood during the day tomorrow.

Not all of us, just the Toph.

Hey Topher! Did all of your hard work pay off? Is the rink dry?

Rose said...

I'll play tonight if we've got a dry court, but I'll probably be running a little late (work til almost 5/super tired). But we'll see.

Toph loves bike polo. Bike polo loves Toph.

Anonymous said...

I'm not convinced that Toph loves polo. I see him throw his mallet and bike all the time.

POLO UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

on a side note, come play polo tonight at 6pm. the court is dry. it will be fun.
hey anonymous, i did not see you step forward or take any action rather that make stupid comments on the blog. we obviously worked really hard to clear the court. so i can deduce that you clearly DO NOT care about bike polo....if you do care however. identify yourself by showing up on the court tonight. and prove that you care about bike polo.

Who is Toph?

Anonymous said...

court is dry, everyone who keeps having something else to do on sunday should show up tonight! -Patrick
